The Assignment: 

Our professor, Mark Fenske, required that we create a comic strip of at least 4 panels. The strip had to include the following elements in any order: 

• "Dog"

• "Dog on Stage"

• "Audience Applauds"

• "Dog Craps"

About the Work:

Since we were given complete freedom on the order and approach to this strip, I wanted to find a unique way to do this. Instead of focusing on something that would have been low-brow, I decided to take an approach that emphasized slightly more awkward humor. I decided to conclude the comic with the dog struggling with now being overwhelmed by applause and feeling completely confused as to why it was on stage in the first place. I really enjoyed being able to use my sense of humor with these limited prompts.
